Dr. Esther Be Brummund, D.C., AVCA
Graduating from Smith College (Northampton, MA), the largest of the historic Seven Sisters, I hold a Bachelor of Arts in German Studies. I later obtained my Doctor of Chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic (Davenport, IA), graduating Summa Cum Laude. Furthering my education, I obtained my postgraduate certificate in animal chiropractic from Parker University (Dallas, TX). I am currently a member of and certified by the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association (AVCA), the first and most widely recognized association, for the practice of animal chiropractic.
My clinical experience includes working with patients of all ages and sizes, human and animal. Gaining clinical experience at the Palmer Chiropractic Clinic (Moline, IL), I was mentored by the esteemed Dr. Harry Wallace, a chiropractic researcher, clinician, and educator. The wealth of knowledge he imparted from his 50+ years at Palmer is a privilege I hold dear. Under his tutelage, I successfully treated several patients recovering from extreme injuries and multiple health conditions. Furthering my animal chiropractic experience, I obtained invaluable mentorship from a fellow AVCA certified animal chiropractor with training in advanced animal chiropractic techniques and decades of experience treating humans and animals.
I am excited to offer evidenced based alternative health solutions to the Ocala community. As a fifth-generation physician, I most enjoy chiropractic for its ability to facilitate healing where western medicine ends. Serving the community, I hope to reduce the burden of healthcare costs through superior conservative medical care. I plan to educate patients and clients in health literacy, promoting health agency and restoring emotional and physical freedom.
When not in the office, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Dr. Johann Roebelen, and our three dogs Frieda, Lucy Lu and SunnyD- Lite. We enjoy the great outdoors, gourmet cooking, gardening, craft breweries, and traveling.
Dr. Johann Roebelen, D.C.
I graduated from Roger Williams University (Bristol, RI) with a BS and minor in psychology. Most of my young adult life was spent competing as a wrestler (even winning the New England Championship). After that, I pursued a career in research and started working as an intern at Brown University (Providence, RI), where I published my first research paper. My efforts there led to working at the esteemed Joslin Diabetes Center (Boston, MA), where I discovered my true passion was providing hands on care to patients. I graduated Cum Laude from Palmer College of Chiropractic (Davenport, IA) after a four-year intensive program.
Since then, I have been honing my skills, seeing patients, and practicing in two different offices. I first worked in Franklin (WI) and then in Cedar Rapids (IA). As a Doctor of Chiropractic, I have treated thousands of patients with headaches, lower back pain, disc herniations, sports injuries/recovery, fibromyalgia and many other conditions. I have adjusted patients from young children up to 103 years old! I practice many styles of chiropractic such as Diversified, Gonstead, Activator, Flexion Distraction, extremity adjusting, among others. My Specialty with chiropractic care is extremity adjusting. I am able to adjust shoulders, wrists, knees, ankles, feet, ribs and even the clavicle.
I am very excited to serve my community here in Ocala. It is my life goal to elevate and share the power of chiropractic with anyone I can. I am looking forward to helping this community improve their health naturally.
I met my wife Esther while in chiropractic school just before graduation. In my down time, I enjoy spending time with my three dogs, Sunny D, Lucy Lu and Frieda. I love the great outdoors (and can’t wait to get back to hunting and fishing), video games, reading, gourmet cooking, craft breweries.
